The mission of the Elder High School Guidance Department is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, Archbishop William Henry Elder, as well as follow our school motto "Altiora" - to strive for the higher things. Elder High School strives to prepare all students academically, socially, and spiritually to contribute at the highest levels as productive members of society, through a partnership of students, educators, parents and guardians and the community responsible for the learning process.

SPRING COLLEGE FAIR

Cintas Center, Xavier University

More than 150 nationally recognized universities from throughout the country are represented.  For more information call 513-745-3301 or visit www.xavier.edu/collegefair.  The Spring College Fair is free and open to the public.  Plenty of parking is available near the Cintas Center.

 

BECOME AN ELDER STUDENT AMBASSADOR!  Current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are encouraged to apply for membership in this group.  We are looking for well rounded students who are enthusiastic about Elder and willing to share that enthusiasm with others.  Feel free to print the application from HERE or pick one up in the Guidance Office.

Test Prep Courses - There are a number of test prep courses available.  Information and registration forms for some these can be found in the Guidance Resource Room.  In addition to these types of courses, there are a wide variety of FREE study preparation materials available on the internet.
*BE AWARE OF FRAUDULENT TEST PREPARATION COMPANIES!  NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE!

SUMMER PROGRAMS! - Visit PrepHQ or check the Summer Programs binder in the Guidance Office

Career Expo - Elder’s Guidance Department has developed a new career program, "Career Expo", to help students investigate careers. The primary goal of the program is to help students evaluate their interests, skills and aptitudes when choosing a career. Listening to individuals speak about their careers will allow students to gain specific career information concerning various occupations.
