There are hundreds of
resources out there that can give you help with financial aid and
financing your education. Listed to the left are popular sites
that the Guidance Department at Elder has compiled. We are in no
way endorsing one site over another except for the FAFSA web site,
which almost all colleges and universities required students to
fill out. The FAFSA is primary resource that colleges use in
determining your financial need and therefore determining your
financial aid award for college. Even though it may be a little
daunting and time-consuming, if you want to be considered for
financial aid assistance at your college, complete the FAFSA
You cannot
complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Financial Aid) until
January and we recommend that you complete and submit no later
than February 1. You will need your tax returns for the previous
year to complete the form, but if you don't have this completed
already you can complete with an estimate from the previous year
(if you have no significant financial changes).
You can get a PIN number before FAFSA
completion time. Parents AND students will each need to get
their own PIN number for FAFSA completion. Click on the FAFSA link
or click below!

When you complete
the FAFSA, you will need to identify which schools you would like
this information sent to, so click on the link to the left for the
"Code List."
The Guidance
Department sponsors a Financial Aid Night each year in early
January, to help with this process, so please watch for this date.
You may find the
sites listed below helpful or you can do your own search by typing
