Name: Nancy Kinross, CPPS
Position: Program Director, tech-reach
Degree: B.S. in Education, University of Dayton
M.Ed. in Educational Administration, Xavier Univ.
Experiences: taught math and science in grades 6-12 for fifteen years
and was an elementary school principal for four years. While
working as development and public relations director in 1985 at the
Maria Stein Retreat House in West Central Ohio, first learned to
use a Macintosh computer.
Later on enjoyed using PCs and began teaching others how to use &
enjoy computers.
Why I enjoy tech-reach: As a Mother of Mercy alumna, and native of
North College Hill, I am delighted to work in the Price Hill Community.
It is a privilege to be part of Elder High School in its outreach to its
neighbors by sharing its knowledge and use of technology. And I
love to watch others learn and become excited about computers.

Name: Trinity Walsh
Position: Instructor for Web Design, Computer Basics, Internet Basics.
Degrees: Bachelor of Music Education, Otterbein College; Master of
Education, Xavier University
Areas of study: Music and School Counseling
Experiences: Completely built the Elder High School Guidance Web Site
from the ground up; Use the computer daily; Always learning new things
related to the computer; own my own web design company.
Why I enjoy tech-reach: I like to teach people who have a desire to
learn about computers, but might be afraid of them. It was only a few
years ago that I didn’t know too much about computers either, but now I
use them everyday in my work and I have my own web design company. Since
I am a Guidance Counselor at Elder and I don’t get to be in the
classroom that often, being able to teach through tech-reach has been a
fantastic outlet for me.

Name: Dave Buetsche
Position: Digital Photo and Video Instructor
Degree: Bachelor of Art Education, Ohio State University
Areas of study: Visual Arts
Experiences: For the past two years I have taught computer
graphics at Elder High School and for the last year I have taught a
graphic design class. Before I came to Elder, I sold digital
photography equipment and graphic design software while studying the
visual arts at Ohio State.
Why I enjoy tech-reach: I thoroughly enjoy teaching for tech-reach
for a number of different reasons. I enjoy the subject matter, and
the small class size allows me to really help the students one-on-one.
But the main reason is knowing that the material we cover in class is
going make the person’s life better in someway. Whether it is restoring
old family photos, putting together a calendar of photos for a friend,
or being able to utilize that new digital camera, I enjoy the idea of
knowing that the class will help the person add something new and
exciting to their life.

Name: Sherrie Kline
Position: Instructor for Word, Excel, Internet & Computer Basics, Access,
and Outlook
Degree: Bachelor of Arts, Miami University; Master of Library
Science, Vanderbilt University; Master of Public Administration,
University of Cincinnati
Areas of study: French, Library Science, Public Admin.
Experiences: 6 years experience as computer systems/software instructor
at Cinergy, and many years experience teaching library patrons how to
take advantage of computers in libraries
Why I enjoy tech-reach: The most rewarding thing is to see students
learn, and find out how their new knowledge will be useful in their jobs
and in everyday life. I especially enjoy working with adult students,
because they are in the class because they are enthused about learning,
and not just because they are required be there.

Name: Deron Kelley
Position: Instructor - Internet Basics & Digital Photography
Degree: Secondary Education Certification ~ English Literature,
Northern Kentucky University: Bachelor of Arts ~ English, Wright State
University: Associate of Arts ~ General Studies, University of
Cincinnati
Areas of study: English, Literature, Education
Experiences: I’ve worked for Procter & Gamble for 12 years. I
worked several of those years in the IT Organization. Additionally,
I’ve spent the past several years managing the North American Market
Development Organization website. I’m now preparing to move into a new
role --- Graphic Design & Content Management for all materials used in
courses offered through our Global Learning & Development Organization.
Why I enjoy tech-reach: Prior to working at Procter & Gamble, I
was a High School English teacher. Also, I’ve taught many courses over
the years as an Adjunct Instructor at Cincinnati State Technical and
Community College. I’ve always had great passion for teaching; a
‘common thread’ can be traced throughout numerous roles at P&G as
‘educator’ has played heavily in most assignments. I love helping
others learn. As a former high school teacher and father of five sons
--- I have dedicated much of my life to helping others acquire the
knowledge they seek. We all have so much to learn, and being a
contributing part of that process is truly rewarding.

Degree: Associates Degree, Raymond Walters College
Areas of study: Business
Experiences: For the last 5 years, I have been teaching Microsoft Office
courses, for the business division of a local insurance company that
includes 500 employees. I work in the Training and Development
department for this company, but am also very involved in other
community programs as well.
Why I enjoy tech-reach: I have really enjoyed the classes that I have
facilitated at tech-reach. Each class has a unique group of students. It
is energizing to witness each person developing their confidence and
skills with a computer and determine how it can be put to use for them.
I am inspired with each class and learn something new each session
